Favorite Crockpot Creamy Chicken and Pasta
Folks have been requesting more Crockpot recipes so I was craving a creamy style chicken pasta without an Alfredo sauce. Here is what I came up with and it was a HUGE hit! You need to watch the salt that you add because there is a lot of sodium in the soups and Ranch Dressing! And of course it’s always great with Creole Seasoning!
Ya’ll Enjoy!!!
Ingredients
- 3-4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
- 1 Package Ranch Dressing
- 1 can Campbell’s cream of chicken soup
- 1 can Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup
- 1 8 oz. Cream cheese
- 4 cups whole grain rice, prepared or whole grain penne pasta, prepared
- 1 2 oz. Real Bacon Pieces or 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese for garnish
- OPTIONAL: 1-2 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
Directions
Cook in crock pot the chicken and soup all 6-8 hours on Low setting until chicken is tender and falls apart.
One hour before serving, pull out chicken and shred into bite-size pieces using two forks.
Cut the block of cream cheese into squares.
To the soup in the crock pot, add cut cream cheese, the Italian seasoning and bacon bits and mix well until cream cheese is melted and all is blended together. Add chicken and let simmer on Low in crockpot while cooking pasta.
Salt and pepper to taste or for extra flavor add Cajun Seasoning! Serve over prepared rice or pasta and garnish with cheese.
Ya’ll Enjoy!
