Red Mushroom Sauce
This sauce is great over anything including pasta, baked chicken, pork, rice, you name it! It was put together as a quick sauce. So few ingredients, but delicious.
1-2 large portobello mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 tsp chopped garlic
2 Tb chopped fresh basil
1 Tb olive oil
1 Tb butter
1 jar marinara or any pasta sauce of choice
Heat small skillet with butter and oil. Add mushrooms and basil. Sauté until soft. Add garlic and sauté another minute. Add sauce of choice. Simmer 10 minutes on medium-low heat. Serve over pasta, rice or meat.
