Monday Pulled from the Pantry: Open Faced Meatball Sandwich Sub Hoagie

It’s Monday, you’ve worked all day and want to fix your family or yourself something quick and easy! Well, occasionally you have no time and want to quickly put together something that everyone will enjoy! Here is a quick and easy, hearty little meal!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs Ready Made Frozen Meatballs
  • 16 oz your favorite Spaghetti Sauce
  • 8 oz Provolone Cheese slices
  • Italian Bread, sliced and quartered or Sub Bread
  • Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
  • Optional: Dill Pickle Slices, Sweet Onion Slices, Sauteed Mushrooms, Sauteed Green Pepper and Onions

DIRECTIONS:

In a large skillet and over Medium heat, combine the frozen meatballs, spaghetti sauce and garlic. Stir occasionally and turn down to Simmer after cooking on Medium for 10 minutes. Cook until meatballs are cooked thoroughly approximately 20 minutes.

On 1/4 of the Italian bread loaf or on 1/2 of a sub bread, butter and  lightly toast it over Medium Heat. Set aside.

To assemble, place the bread on a large plate. Pour 8-12 meatballs and sauce over the bread. Top with Provolone Cheese and serve with Dill Pickle Slices, Onion Slices, Sauteed Mushrooms or Green peppers and Onions! Repeat for as many as you are serving!
